Here’s a situation where the electrician clearly just can’t understand the original intent of the person that wired this solar system.
You can see that there are multiple AC combiner boxes installed on site in order to manage the solar. Perhaps there are multiple solar arrays, maybe they just wanted options by installing one solar array across multiple enclosures.
You can see there’s multiple 2 pole breakers in the center panel; one feeds the left enclosure, the other one feeds the right, BUT IS CAPPED OFF. The right enclosure is currently fed by some unseen feed. Perhaps the customer is using a generator, or maybe they’re charging their RV with that set of grid-tied arrays. Then perhaps once they’ve powered their RV adequately, they replace the capped wires and have everything feed their house again.
Either way, there’s no reason to malign the install just because it doesn’t make sense. Be better.
